About
Currently senior researcher at the IPEA (Institut du Psychotraumatisme de l'Enfant et de l'Adolescent, https://ipea7892.fr/) where I am heading the ELaPS research team (Early life adversity, Life-history, and Psychopathology),
I investigate how early experiences of different kinds of adversity can affect human development, from growth, health and reproduction to cognition, emotion and behaviour.
My work borrows from the concepts of cognitive sciences, evolutionary behavioural sciences, developmental psychopathology and public health, and mobilises various methods from experimental psychology, computational modelling, epidemiology and clinical research.
My motivation is to ensure that the ELaPS team can contribute
i) to the production of robust and reproducible scientific knowledge on typical and atypical human development,
ii) to disseminate this knowledge to professionals in the medico-social sector, and
iii) to contribute to the development of practical and innovative solutions to improve the assessment, detection and prevention of mental health problems in children and adolescents from disadvantaged backgrounds.
